ATJEH GAYO
Arabica coffee thrives in the Gayo Highlands and surrounding regions of Aceh at around 1,300 meters above sea level, with ideal rainfall conditions for cultivation. Since the 19th century, coffee farming has been the main source of income for most local families. Gayo coffee is processed using the traditional Giling Basah method, where only ripe red cherries are selected, giving the beans their distinctive blue-green color. Grown organically without chemicals, Gayo coffee is also known as an environmentally friendly “green coffee” and is recognized as one of the finest organic coffees in the world.
